Whether the algorithm takes an EC key: the ES family.

Whether the algorithm takes an RSA key: the RS and PS families.

The algorithm, e.g. RS256, PS384, ES256.

Whether the key is wrapped in a self-signed certificate, published as x5c and x5t. RSA only, as Duende's is.
