Class BackChannelAuthenticationNotificationFailureEvent

Namespace
Fdyay.IdentityServer.Events
Assembly
Fdyay.IdentityServer.Core.dll

A ping or push notification this server could not deliver.

public class BackChannelAuthenticationNotificationFailureEvent : Event
Inheritance
BackChannelAuthenticationNotificationFailureEvent
Inherited Members

Remarks

The same silence BackChannelLogoutFailureEvent exists for, one flow over: a callback nobody watched fail. The user has answered and this server has recorded it, so nothing is wrong from their side and nothing is wrong from the server's — the only party who notices is a client sitting on a notification that never arrived, and whose fallback is to poll at an interval it was told to wait.

Raised and the answer kept. A failed callback must not lose the user's decision, so the request stays complete and redeemable by polling; this event is how an operator learns the client is not getting the delivery mode it registered for, rather than inferring it from clients that poll more than they should.
