Class SamlSignOnSuccessEvent

Namespace

Assembly

An assertion was issued to a service provider.

public class SamlSignOnSuccessEvent : Event
Inheritance
SamlSignOnSuccessEvent
Inherited Members

Remarks

The SAML counterpart of TokenIssuedSuccessEvent, and it is the same act: this server vouching for a user's identity to a third party. It is recorded for the same reason — the record of who this server said somebody was, and to whom, is the one an auditor asks for first.

The assertion itself is absent, exactly as the token is absent from its OIDC counterpart: a signed assertion in a host's log store is a credential, and every question this event answers is answerable without it.
