Remarks

Grouped by category in blocks of a thousand, with gaps left inside each block. An id is part of the contract with whatever is consuming these — a dashboard query or an alert rule keys off it — so a value here is never reused for a different event once it has shipped.

These are this server's numbers, not Duende's. The two servers assign different values to some of the same events, because the ids here were given out before that comparison was made and the rule above is worth more than the coincidence: renumbering a shipped event would silently change what an existing alert rule matches, which is the failure the rule exists to prevent. A host migrating an alert should key on the constants in this class or on Event.Name, both of which are stable.
